1. Nominations for the 2006 Kyoto Prize are open now. The Inamori Foundation invites the nomination of candidates for the 22nd Annual Kyoto Prize in ADVANCED TECHNOLGY referring to the field of Biotechnology and Medical Technology. On behalf of the organizing committee of the 7th International Conference on Cellular Engineering (ICCE), we are very pleased to invite you to the meeting, hosted by the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) and Korean Society for Medical and Biological Engineering (KOSOMBE), that will be held on September 6-9, 2005, in Seoul, Korea.

The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to July 30, 2005!

Since the first meeting in Keele, United Kingdom, in 1993, ICCE has been held biannually with concerning the science and technology from molecular event to developing biologically active sensors/ reactors, biological chips, cell-based medical implants from gene modified cells to the preserved banked tissue and engineered tissue for transplantation, and all relevant disciplines including biologists, biomedical engineers, and medical doctors around the world have presented the cutting-edge research features in this highly advanced scientific technology area.
