20. IEEE Workshop SSP'05 (Statistical Signal Processing)
will take place in Bordeaux (France) from July 17 to July 20, 2005. SSP '05 will be a forum for technical exchange among engineers and scientists, with common interests in statistics and signal processing, and the interplay between the two. Both the theory and application of statistical signal and image processing will be emphasized. Theoretical topics include:

• Adaptive systems and signal processing,
• Computer intensive statistical inference,
• Detection and estimation theory,
• Distributed signal processing and sensor networks,
• Learning theory and pattern analysis,
• Multivariate statistical analysis,
• System identification and calibration,
• Time-frequency and time-scale analysis.

Application areas include:

• Array, radar and sonar,
• Automotive,
• Bioinformatics, bio-signal and medical imaging,
• Communication systems and networks,
• Sensor networks,
• New methods, directions and applications.
