1. Biophysical Chemistry meets Molecular Medicine, Sesimbra Beach, Portugal, 1-4 June, 2005

The workshop in brief:

  • The workshop is devoted to the interplay between biophysical chemistry and molecular medicine.
  • Researchers from both academia and industry in the early stages of their careers may apply to participate.
  • The scientific program will be built on oral contributions from all participants.
  • Each participant will have the opportunity to contribute with a research paper to a special themed issue of Eur. Biophysics J.

Check this web site for more details and how to apply: www.ycw.fc.ul.pt
The Biophysical Chemistry meets Molecular Medicine workshop is organized on the behalf of CERC3 and is included in the series of Young Chemists's Workshops (YCW) - CERC3 stands for Chairmen of European Research Councils' Chemistry Committees.

2. The 28th Conference of the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society will be held September 9-11, 2004. We invite engineers, physicians, researchers, students, technicians and technologists from around the world to join us in Quebec City and discover the dynamic trends that are shaping the future of biomedical technology. CMBEC28 is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the latest advances in biomedical engineering. (See
